Dear CIGAs,
I am sitting in front of a beautiful fire in my kid’s guest house in Joberg. In the evenings you need a warm sweater, a heater, an electric blanket and if you have a fireplace, some good logs to burn. The temperature reaches the 30s at night. During the day it reaches into the high 50s F. There has not been a drop of rain since I came, but rather uninterrupted blue sky every day. This is winter time in Joberg.
The city and surrounding areas are modern and better kept than any major city on the east coast of the US.
My feeling is that what RSA has is simply too good to get messed up. I believe the present leadership understands that. Youngsters always want it all and want it now, but relative to other areas of the continent they have it all and now.
I believe the safest place geopolitically and Earth change wise is in sub-Sahara Africa.
I will always have my place in Tanzania and a place to visit in Joberg.
